Edmonton, Alberta — (press release excerpt) — Sequiter Software today announced that they are offering full support for customers using the CodeBase Database Engine to develop applications for Embedded Linux systems.

CodeBase for Linux is particularly well-suited to constrained environments because of its small footprint and low overhead. The library is royalty-free and comes with complete source code. Database programmers can reduce the library size even further by removing modules that are not required.

CodeBase products are well-known for their scalability, portability and ease-of-use. In addition to Linux, CodeBase is supported on a number of UNIX platforms as well as Windows and Macintosh in both C/C++ and Java versions. Configurations are available for 32-bit, 64-bit, client/server or stand-alone. CodeBase is xBase file compatible and an add-on driver for SQL — JDBC/ODBC is available.
