Combo embedded conference now Silicon Valley’s largest

Hasbrouck Heights, NJ — (press release excerpt) — The co-location of two cutting-edge events is shaping up to be the largest embedded systems conference n Silicon Valley this year. Penton Media, Inc.'s Internet Device Builder and Annabooks' target=”_blank”>Applied Computing Conference will focus on the core technologies enabling the next Internet and connected device revolution.

The collaboration of the IDB and ACC brings attendees a comprehensive resource in the form of a dynamic show floor featuring the latest products and services. Two cutting edge conferences with over 100 sessions will survey the effect of the Internet and the massive computing power of today's processors on the embedded arena. “The two events complement each other well,” said IDB Show Director Bill Rutledge. “While IDB focuses on issues of connectivity for today's intelligent devices, ACC covers the 32- and 64-bit processors that are necessary to power the devices and the Internet infrastructures that support them.”

The combined show floor will feature over 70 vendors displaying their latest offerings in more than 150 booths. Industry leaders such as National Semiconductor, Stellcom, Inc., Agilent Technologies, Altera, IBM Microelectronics, Intel Corp., and Motorola Computer Group are among the companies to be represented. The conference program will provide attendees with rich content addressing the whole spectrum of embedded connectivity.

The Internet Device Builder will focus on the issue of Internet connectivity with sessions focusing on semiconductors, TCP/IP protocols, embedded operating systems, infrastructures, and new wireless technologies. IDB is targeted directly at OEMs who are struggling with basic questions of product development.

The Applied Computing Conference will focus on the convergence between mainstream technologies and the dedicated computing space. Focusing on technologies such as CompactPCI, switch fabrics, high availability, Embedded Linux, Windows CE, Windows NT Embedded, server architectures and advanced networking technologies, ACC will show how these can be an integral part of applied computing solutions.
