Commercial apps support Sharp Zaurus Linux PDA

TheKompany.com has announced a family of Linux “products for the embedded world” which support the Sharp Zaurus 5x series. The following products are either available now or coming soon . . .

  • tkcExplorer — an enhanced file manager
  • tkcEditor — a serious editor that provides many tools that are convenient for both programmers or end users
  • tkcJabber — an… easy to use Jabber client that can be used in conjunction with a wireless CF card
  • tkcKapital — an embedded version of theKompany.com's popular Kapital product for the Linux desktop, and will sync with Kapital 1.0
  • tkcPainter — a basic paint and “scribble” application
  • tkcMahjongg — a version of the popular game Mahjongg
Currently, all embedded products from theKompany only run on the new Sharp Zaurus 5x series. Prices range from $4.95 to $19.95, depending on the program.
