Design the ELC Logo, win an HP C500 Digital Camera

Apr 14, 2000 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — views

The Embedded Linux Consortium needs a creative logo to represent our vision and mission. The logo will be used on letterhead and business cards, T-shirts, signs, packaging and more. We need a crisp, uncluttered design that looks terrific and distinctive on tiny web pages (for example, on Linux-powered wireless handheld PDAs) as well as huge booth banners.

Members may wish to include our logo on their products and marketing communications literature, in the fashion of “Linux Inside.” “The ELC deserves a logo that denotes the 'embedded` character of our vision and mission,” said Murry Shohat, acting Executive Director. “Since members range from software creators and chip developers up through full-scale system builders, all on a global stage, a successful logo design should work for everyone.”

“The logo should be easily recognizable at small size so it can be widely used by ELC members within their promotional and advertising materials and on their business cards,” added Rick Lehrbaum, acting Chairman.

The ELC is announcing the logo contest to the media via press release.
