ELEC: Graphical Windowing systems for Embedded Linux

Talk abstract: The rapidly changing embedded systems market provides new opportunities, as well as challenges in new graphical systems implementations. This talk focuses on the design and architecture of the Microwindows Project, an Open Source graphical windowing environment for embedded Linux systems. Issues associated with the porting of existing and new applications with graphical display requirements will be discussed.

Speaker bio: Greg Haerr is an expert UNIX and Windows programmer, specializing in operating systems, interpreter, and graphics windowing system designs. He is Founder and CEO of Century Software, a leader in UNIX connectivity solutions, and Chief Strategist for User Interface Technologies for MontaVista Software.
