CompuLab is shipping a processor module targeting real-time and telecommunications applications, or, with an optional multimedia co-processor, HMI (human-machine interface) applications. The CM-F82 is based on a PowerQUICC II processor, with optional Intel 2700G coprocessor, and is available preinstalled with Gentoo… Linux and Das U-Boot open source bootloader.

The CM-F82 provides CPU, memory, flash disk, and peripherals, and is designed for piggyback attachment to custom baseboards through a “CAMI” (CompuLab's aggregated module interface) bus, consisting of miniature high-density connectors.

Custom baseboards for the CM-F82 can route its signals to interface connectors, or add more functions, CompuLabs says. Additionally, the CM-F82 is interchangeable with other CAMI-equipped CompuLabs modules.

The CM-F82 is available with either a Freescale MPC8247 (266MHz) or MPC8272 (400MHz) PowerQUICC II processor. An optional Intel 2700G multimedia coprocessor is also available.
