Typical applications for such communication gateways are Web-based remote control interfaces (Web Enabler) for the industrial automation and control area, retail automation, point-of-sale applications, remote metering, building automation and access control, medical automation and many others. Each Reference Design comes with detailed schematics, BOM, evaluation hardware and a Linux configuration based on kernel version 2.4.20.
