Bredex is shipping the first stable version of a graphical tool that it claims can be used by non-programmers to create application testing routines for Java/Swing applications. GUIdancer 1.0 is an Eclipse RCP (rich client platform) application that can run standalone or as an Eclipse plugin.

Bredex began distributing a “release candidate” version of GUIdancer in mid-December of last year. Additional product details, including screenshots, can be found in our news story about that release, here.

Bredex's managing director, Hans J. Brede, stated, “Testing can be done entirely by testers, leaving developers free to develop.”

Availability

GUIdancer is available now, priced at 980 Euros, or 4,500 Euros for a multi-user license. A 30-day evailuation version is also available with registration.
