Graphics software company targets DO-178B compliance

Seattle, WA — (press release excerpt) — Seaweed Systems Inc., a specialist in OpenGL and X Window graphics software products and services, today announced it is expanding its technical and marketing resources to focus on producing 2D and 3D graphics drivers that are certifiable to the DO-178B standard. The addition of new senior staff and the deployment of enhanced product-lifecycle customer support will enable Seaweed to provide better support safety critical avionics, automotive, and medical applications.

Seaweed Systems customers in the real-time embedded space include BAE Systems, Boeing, DERA, Dy4, Elbit, Ericsson Avionics, General Dynamics, Honeywell, Kaiser, L-3, Litton, Lockheed Martin, NASA, Northrop Grumman, Radstone, Raytheon and Rockwell. All Seaweed Systems products are available in both source and object form.
