UnitedLinux was created by a consortium of four Linux vendors — SuSE, Turbolinux, Conectiva, and SCO — who pooled their expertise with the shared vision of providing a single, standards-based, core Linux operating system. It was announced earlier this year with a bold promise of a November release date. Well, November is here and the good news is that the promise is being realized — UnitedLinux 1.0 is here.
