Jan. 13 seminar in San Diego on installing Debian

Dec 19, 2002 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — views

The Consultants Network of the San Diego section of the IEEE will be hosting a one-evening introduction to Debian Linux, with the goal to get attendees understanding the installation process and basic administration. The session will be on Monday 13th January starting 7pm at the Sizzler.

The Debian distribution is designed to encourage local source archives, customization, engineering traceability and document control activities. It offers automated software package validation, integrated bug tracking and the choice between bleeding edge and ultra-conservative (and in between).
