Freescale says MontaVista will sponsor its global series of technical training conferences next year, at the Platinum level. Six Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) conferences are scheduled throughout the latter half of 2007, in locations that include Orlando, Fla., Tokyo, Paris, Munich, Shanghai, and Bangalore.

Freescale says MontaVista's sponsorship will enable the two companies to collaborate closely in order to deliver “consistent, high quality training” for FTF attendees worldwide. The full 2007 FTF Schedule includes:

  • Orlando, Fla. — June 25-28
  • Tokyo — Sept. 12
  • Paris — Oct. 9-10

  • Munich — Oct. 16-17
  • Shanghai — Nov. 6-7
  • Bangalore — Nov. 19-20

Paxton Cooper, director of product marketing at MontaVista, stated, “FTF is a unique strategic opportunity for us to showcase our tools. Our involvement at this event in recent years has been instrumental in strengthening relationships within the Freescale ecosystem and in developing new business.”

Kaian Karimi, director of portfolio strategy at Freescale's wireless and mobile system group stated, “FTF provides Freescale customers with unparalleled access to our ecosystem, and MontaVista's early commitment to FTF 2007 underscores the value of this event to their business. MontaVista's global platinum sponsorship provides FTF attendees with the ability to experience, in-depth, a world-class Linux kernel solution built on Freescale silicon.”

Additional information about FTF events can be found here.

MontaVista recently raised $20 million in funding, according to rumors.
