SAN JOSE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Lynx Real-Time Systems, Inc. today announced that PacketStream's Synchronous Packet Streaming (SPS) solution will run on the LynxOS real-time operating system (RTOS) and BlueCat Linux operating system.

The SPS solution, currently in beta testing and scheduled for availability later this year, enables the delivery and management of all services over Internet Protocol (IP) networks.

PacketStream's SPS solution provides classification, policing, and dynamic bandwidth management of voice, video, data, and multimedia traffic.

“PacketStream's SPS solution, supported by LynxOS and BlueCat Linux, overcomes the limitations of current IP networks to manage and deliver real-time, mission-critical, value-added services demanded by the emerging Internet market,” said Dr. Inder Singh, chairman and CEO of Lynx. “Our solution delivers guaranteed quality and performance of IP services across local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs),” said Francis Dinha, Chairman & CEO of PacketStream. “Combining our SPS solutions with LynxOS and BlueCat Linux, will allow embedded applications to utilize the capabilities provided by our SPS technology on two of the most complementary embedded operating systems in the
industry.”
