Microsoft at LinuxWorld: no free beer, but…

Aug 5, 2005 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 views

Famous Microsoft embedded guy Mike Hall will hand out free pizza across from LinuxWorld on Tuesday afternoon. The lunch might not really be free, though, as Hall writes in his blog, “I'd be really interested in finding out how much you know about Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded, the development process using Windows tools and… how this compares to Linux, so come…”

Why not show up at the Moscone Pizzadelli, at 255 third street, and give Hall an earful? After all, how often do you get the opportunity to eat Microsoft's lunch? Hall's blog posting can be found here.

. . . and this response comes from Mike Hall on his blog:

Looks like LinuxDevices are watching my blog — they suggest coming to the Moscone Pizzadelli on Tuesday 9th August from 1pm – 4pm to give me an earful, sure, bring it on, in exchange I will give you a mouthful (of Pizza)… — Mike

In other news, Microsoft will have a presence inside LinuxWorld as well. The company is slated to go up against Google in the annual PenguinBowl trivia contest, hosted by Novell's Jeremy Allison on Tuesday at 4:30.
