Group Sense PDA Ltd. (GSPDA) has introduced the Linux-based V-2002 PDA into the Chinese market. Like many recent PDA introductions, the V-2002 is based on an Intel StrongARM system-on-chip processor and provides a full-color 320 x 240 pixel LCD display.

According to a publicly released financial statement, Group Sense PDA Ltd. (GSPDA) is a 2-year-old subsidiary of Group Sense (International) Ltd. (Hong Kong). Group Sense designs and manufactures a variety of consumer electronic devices in China, including electronic dictionaries, translators, electronic organizers, and PDAs, and is a member of the Intel PCA Developer Network. In May 2001, GSPDA received an $10.5M (USD) equity investment from Intel Capital Corporation, SB China Holdings Pte Limited, SB Asia Infrastructure Fund L.P. and UTStarcom, Inc. to assist the company in developing new mobile computing devices for the Chinese market. GSPDA plans to market its PDA products in the mainland China, Hong Kong, and Singapore markets. GSPDA is currently developing a number of vertical applications for its PDAs, including securities trading, banking, online information inquiries, and various customized enterprise solutions.
