A slowdown in the semiconductor industry meant the market for embedded Linux lagged last year, another hit to Red Hat sales.”

“But in an interview, Michael Tiemann, Red Hat chief technology officer, said his attention is returning to the embedded space after focusing on large enterprise customers for the last year. It's a signal that Red Hat hasn't given up on embedded Linux . . .”
