Sony EVP comments on Sony’s embedded Linux success

A news item from Nikkei Electronics Asia reports on a keynote speech by Sony's corporate executive vice president and Electronics co-CTO, Mario Tokoro, at last week's LinuxWorld Expo in Tokyo. According to the article, Tokoro said most of the key technical issues relating to embedding Linux in electronic devices have now been overcome, and he noted that Sony's embedded Linux software is already… being widely praised for its ease of use. Tokoro also commented on several issues associated with the use of Linux in embedded applications, including patents, intellectual property, and relationship with the developer community, the article said.
