Bloomfield, NJ — (press release excerpt) — TUXIA today announced the opening of a new office in Austin, Texas, to provide increased support for its embedded Linux software line, TASTE (TUXIA Appliance Synthesis Technology). The opening of the Austin office comes only five months after TUXIA opened its first U.S. office in Bloomfield, N.J., and just one month after the company launched TASTE in the United States. TUXIA is headquartered in Germany.

To staff the office, TUXIA is adding 12 new employees, including 10 developers, increasing the company's U.S. staff to 18 employees. The addition of the office and staff enables TUXIA to provide manufacturers and developers with more individualized customization services, optimized embedded Linux features and value-added sales and marketing opportunities for TASTE.
