Mizi Research announced the GPL release of a Linux BSP (board support package) and source code that can be used for developing Linux-based smart handheld devices based on Samsung's S3C2410X mobile processor. The BSP supports Samsung's SMDK2410X and SMDK2410TK reference boards which showcase the S3C2410X processor and its integrated peripherals and interfaces, and includes Mizi's Linux kernel along with all… drivers necessary to support the reference boards, the company said.

An area of Mizi's website provides detailed technical information on the Mizi Linux SDK for S3C2410X, which provides an overview of the support plus details on building the development environment, using the tools, porting and compiling Mizi Linux, etc.

“We are very excited to contribute our S3C2410X Linux SDK to the open source community,” commented Mizi CEO, Youngjin Seo. “We will keep updating the SDK, and expanding it to additional Samsung CPUs.”
