Local embedded conferences include Linux

A series of one-day trade shows on embedded systems and real-time computing will be held during the next four months in cities around the U.S., Europe, and Asia. The Real-Time and Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) events will include embedded Linux sessions and demonstrations.

The free RTECC events are sponsored by exhibitors such as Wind River, Green Hills Software, Mentor Graphics, LynuxWorks, GE Fanuc, QNX, and Curtiss-Wright. They target embedded developers working in markets such as telephony and data communication, military/aerospace, industrial control, instrumentation, consumer electronics, image processing, medical instrumentation, and embedded appliances.

Several dozen RTECC events have already taken place this year, including spring and summer event series.

Fall series events are scheduled as follows:

  • Vancouver, BC — September 15, 2006
  • San Diego, CA — September 19, 2006
  • Los Angeles, CA — September 21, 2006
  • Luzern, Switzerland — September 26 2006
  • Patuxent River, MD — October 17, 2006
  • Beijing, China — October 17, 2006
  • Washington DC (Herndon) — October 19, 2006
  • Shanghai, China — October 20, 2006
  • Dublin, Ireland — October 24, 2006
  • Shenzhen, China — October 24, 2006
  • Bristol, United Kingdom — October 26, 2006
  • Montreal, Quebec — November 7, 2006
  • Ottawa, Ontario — November 9, 2006
  • Portland, OR — December 6, 2006
  • Seattle, WA — December 8, 2006
