OSDL forms Desktop Linux Working Group, notes surge in interest

LinuxDevices.com's sister site DesktopLinux.com reports that the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL) has formed a Desktop Linux Working Group, which will work to recommend improvements to Linux that will increase its use as a desktop operating system. The report offers some impressive statistics and predictions about the growing use of Linux as a desktop operating system. For example, more systems are expected to ship with Linux than with Mac OS in 2004.
