NEW YORK — (company press release) — Integrated Software & Devices Corporation (ISDCorp), a leading developer of software device drivers for embedded processors, today announced that it is shipping “Royal Linux”, ISDCorp's port of Linux kernel 2.2.1 for embedded systems.

The company will demonstrate Royal Linux and associated device drivers on the Cirrus Logic 7211 Maverick ARM 7 development system and will be giving away copies of this distribution at the Linux World Conference, at booths 173 and 175.

The production availability of this technology ensures that all systems manufacturers using ARM RISC processors can now take advantage of the size (600KB footprint) and speed of Royal Linux for their devices, at a cost considerably lower than that of other embedded operating systems. “ISDCorp has concluded a major undertaking, completing and shipping Royal Linux for ARM processors. We will be delivering Royal Linux for MIPS, Motorola 68K/Coldfire and Power PCs shortly,” commented Reza Soliman-Noori, president and CEO of ISDCorp.
