Linux morphs PCs into PVRs

Long-awaited Royal Linux PDA due this quarter

After a false start and a delay, Royal appears ready at last to ship its Linux-based PDA, the Linea LX. The Linea LX is now expected to arrive this quarter, priced at $399. MontaVista counters Linux tools shortage ‘FUD’

Course for developers new to Linux comes with optional laptop

A new course from LinuxCertified may interest some embedded Linux programmers new to working on Linux hosts. “Linux Software Development Training” will be offered publicly and to corporations starting in April. Chinese software testing agency joins OSDL

The Beijing Software Testing Center (BSTC), has joined the Open Source Development Labs (OSDL). BSTC will focus on Linux testing, and the development of internationalization features for Linux. Tiny hard drive gains Guinness World Record as smallest HDD

Embedded Linux at CES
