deepLinux announces embedded Linux offerings

Memphis, Tennessee — (company press release) — Rick Collette, the creator and former maintainer of the SPIRO-Linux Distribution, announced today that he would be forming a new company: deepLinux. While the primary focus is to be the OEM market, deepLinux is also taking on embedded Linux projects having to do with game systems and network appliances.

Initial deepLinux products and services include:

  • DeepServ Master Server version 1.0 — This package is the ultimate in Server Distributions of Linux. Features include an applications server, file and print server, email server, and a handfull of other server-specific installation modes.

  • deepServ High Availability Server version 1.0 — Designed with large companies in mind, this is a very highly scalable server system. Use of dynamic DNS technology coupled with a realtime monitoring system ensures that the system will not experience extended downtime.
  • deepServ OEM version 1.0 — More of a service than an actual product, the deepServ line of products can be customized per OEM specifications, and offered with technical support contracts, tailored to the customer's needs.
