Embedded gateway solution garners highest level firewall certification

Santa Clara, CA — (press release excerpt) — Intoto Inc. today announced certification of its iGateway-Firewall under the latest and most stringent, Corporate version 4.0 of Firewall Certification from ICSA labs.

As a part of the certification under the new criteria, iGateway-Firewall complied with Corporate Required Services Security Profile (RSSP) module. It met the most stringent Corporate 4.0 certification that includes comprehensive logging, handling of protocols such as FTP, DHCP, and DNS and blocking fragmented packets. In addition, as part of the certification, the product was tested for robustness and extensive nature of defense.

iGateway-Firewall is a comprehensive software solution that includes stateful packet inspection, application content filtering, NAT (Network Address Translation) with application-awareness for more than 50 applications, comprehensive protection against attacks and URL blocking. iGateway-Firewall can be preconfigured for instant set up. It provides simple, easy to use Web based management interface, and has support for popular RG/SOHO applications such as, gaming, instant messaging and Net2Phone.

iGateway-Firewall is a key component of the integrated iGateway software platform, which also includes iGateway-VPN. iGateway-VPN is certified for ICSA IPSec 1.1 certification. iGateway-Firewall is architected for flexibility and scalability to build comprehensive network security gateways for organizations of all sizes and complexity.

iGateway-Firewall is supported on Linux kernels 2.2.x and 2.4.x, and uClinux.
