Embedded Linux consulting firm makes “fastest growing” list

The Rochester Business Alliance and accounting firm KPMG have named embedded Linux consulting firm EMRT Consultants to the “Rochester Top 100” list of the fastest growing privately held companies in Rochester, New York. EMRT ranked 30th in its first year of eligibility for the list.

The Rochester Top 100 ranks privately held companies based on three years of consecutive revenue growth. This year's list is based on revenue from 2000 through 2002. Companies must have minimum revenue of $1 million for each of those years. Ranking takes into account both dollar and percentage growth.

EMRT was founded in 1999 and has 20 employees. It provides professional software development services to the Linux, Embedded Linux, and embedded real-time markets, including consulting, software architecture, development, and project management services.

“Recognizing the changing landscape for software development services in 2001 EMRT started a concerted effort to expand the business beyond Upstate New York,” stated James Mooney, EMRT's director of sales and marketing. “We have been successful in winning business on both coasts and across the country.”

More information about EMRT is available on the company's Website, which offers client lists, case studies, whitepapers, and more.
