San Clemente, CA — (press release) — the RTC Group has announced a four day hands-on Embedded Linux Developer's Workshop which will be held in Washington, D.C. on April 3-6, 2001. The workshop covers the entire process of building a complete custom version of Linux which includes an embedded application. Example applications will be discussed, including such projects as embedded web servers, audio applications, and a web interface to the embedded Linux device. Each attendee will receive a CD containing a complete Linux environment, and will create a bootable floppy containing a complete small-footprint Linux system. Following the workshop, attendees will be able to customize Linux on their own in order to build a minimal environment for specialized embedded applications.
