Intel IXP1200 network processors gain Embedded Linux IDE

Campbell, CA — (press release excerpt) — Viosoft today announced availability of Arriba! Embedded Linux Edition, a cross-platform development environment for Linux-based application development using Intel's IXP1200 Network Processor family. The product provides a complete Windows-hosted compiler tool chain for the IXP1200 Network Processor.

Intel will offer a licensed version of the Arriba! Embedded Linux Kernel Edition as the Intel Embedded Linux Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Included in the Intel Embedded Linux IDE is an integrated development environment for configuring and building the embedded Linux kernel and IXP1200 Network Processor application images. The Intel Embedded Linux IDE ships with the IXA SDK 2.0 as a 60-day evaluation version, and will be available from the Intel Web site in the fall.
