ISDCorp Aims new VP at Linux-based RISC

San Jose, Calif. — (company press release) — Integrated Software & Devices Corporation (ISDCorp), a leading developer of software device drivers for embedded processors, today announced the appointment of Daniel Wald as Vice President of Business Development. Reporting to Reza Soliman-Noori, President and CEO, Wald will be responsible for the company's overall business development strategy and will… direct the partnering and licensing agreements with RISC processor manufacturers.

ISDCorp offers systems software development for Fortune 1000 companies seeking custom development, testing and certification for their driver, firmware and embedded software needs. Known for its software development and project management expertise, ISDCorp prides itself on a 95 percent on-time, on-budget track record working with companies including Cirrus Logic, Hewlett-Packard, Advanced Micro Devices and Phoenix Technologies.

“Dan is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of diverse management experience in technology companies,” stated Reza Soliman-Noori, president and CEO. “He brings a unique blend of technical, product development and corporate management expertise to our expanding senior management team. In this position Wald will also employ his knowledge of technology licensing. “In pursuing business development activities for ISDCorp, I will be able to utilize my experience in custom tailoring licensing agreements to fit customers with different business models,” he remarked.

Prior to ISDCorp, Wald was General Manager of Advanced Recognition Technologies Inc., a handwriting and voice recognition software supplier for mobile platforms. He also served as Director of Business Development at Supermac Technology, Inc. where he was responsible for technology licensing to a broad range of large OEM customers in the desktop, semiconductor and video games markets. Formerly, as Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Identix,, Inc. Wald was instrumental in taking the company public. He also held development and management positions with Memorex Corporation and Eastman Kodak Company. Wald holds a BSEE and MSEE from Syracuse University, Syracuse, NY.
