JavaOne to showcase Zaurus, offer reduced developer price

[Updated March 23, 2002] Here is an announcement from JavaOne regarding special attention being given to the Zaurus Linux/Java PDA, and a special price being offered for the developer model . . .

Each year at the JavaOne conference, the Technology Showcase brings you the latest in cutting-edge Java technology. This year, the JavaOne Technology Showcase is centered around the Sharp Zaurus PDA. The Zaurus, bundled with a Linksys wireless network card {Linksys 802.11b Network Card}, will be available for a special event price of $299.

The units on sale at the conference come complete with the Linksys 802.11b network card, giving you wireless access within the main areas of Moscone Center. To get started, you can purchase the Zaurus outside Room 300, near the South Hall Hacker's Lab. Please note that there will be sales of separate Linksys wireless network cards for attendees who bring their own Zaurus.
