Hannover, Germany — (press release) — Esfia today announced its SDK and Desktop Emulator for Linux PDAs based on Red Hat 7.0 and the KDE KDevelop environment. Individual developers can now design their applications for MIPS/Arm/StrongArm platforms and migrate them into Esfia's RedBlue/Palmlike environment quickly and efficiently.

The main differences from KDevelop are . . .

  • Esfia has added MIPS and ARM cross compile environments, to fulfill the rapidly emerging embedded marketplaces
  • Esfia has put FLTK widget and FLUID into KDevelop, for users who want to design their GUIs in a friendly environment
  • In addition to KDebugger, Esfia has also integrated GIDE as an alternative.
The new PDA SDK is being demonstrated in Esfia's booth this week at Cebit in Hannover, Germany (Hall 013, Stand A14, 4C).
