Proposed Embedded Linux Consortium launch meeting

Jan 7, 2000 — by Rick Lehrbaum — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 3 views

Rick Lehrbaum, founder of LinuxDevices.com writes . . .

As you know, there is an ongoing effort to form a non-profit “Embedded Linux Consortium” (see discussion at www.linuxdevices.com/forum/) to serve as an industry trade association for the embedded and real time Linux market.

I would like to schedule an organizational meeting at which we can formally kick off the new Embedded Linux Consortium. I have put in a request for a meeting room at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in Chicago (ESC info), on Wednesday March 1st at 12:00 noon. We can also arrange participation via teleconference, for those who cannot be present in person.

I need to finalize the arrangements within the next week if we are to have the meeting at ESC. Therefore, please respond as quickly as possible to the following two questions.

If an organizational meeting of the Embedded Linux Consortium is held at ESC on Wednesday, March 1st, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CST . . .

  1. Could you / would you (or your representative) attend the meeting in person?

  2. Could you / would you (or your representative) participate via teleconference?

Thank you for your prompt attention!

Best regards,
Rick Lehrbaum
