Chennai, India — (press release excerpt) — FSMLabs Inc. announced that Altosys Software Technologies will be reselling and offering support for FSMLabs hard real-time products in India. Altosys plans to open centers offering training and seminars in all major Indian high technology centers and has built up a team of developers to provide local technical support and to develop value added products.

Altosys and FSMLabs will target the rapidly growing domestic manufacturing, medical instrument, and telecom markets as well as India's giant embedded software development industry. Altosys is a subsidiary of the Orbul Reddy Group, one of India's leading technology companies.

“Many of the global majors in the field of IT and telecom are shifting their development base to India,” commented Altosys President, N. Srinivasan. “The investment from public sector into IT, especially real-time systems, is on the rise. These factors throw up an exciting opportunity for real time operating systems and RTLinux is well positioned to take a leading role,” added Srinivasan.

“The Indian software development industry is truly world class and growing in strength and capability for generating new products,” observed FSMLabs CEO Victor Yodaiken.
