LynuxWorks announced the expansion of its distributor network in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other CIS states with the addition of RTSoft Inc., a provider of software and support solutions for the embedded systems market.

RTSoft will sell, support and provide engineering and training services for all LynuxWorks products including the royalty free BlueCat and BlueCat RT embedded Linux operating systems, and LynxOS, a proprietary real-time operating system (RTOS) that is said to offer Linux “application binary interface” (ABI) compatibility. RTSoft will also handle the new LynxOS-178 package, a version of LynxOS that is said to be certifiable to the DO-178B level A U.S. FAA (Federal Aeronautics Administration) standard.

“As a leader in providing software development services, RTSoft is excited to offer the full range of LynuxWorks products in the Russian Federation and other CIS countries,” said Alexander Kaliadin, director of embedded computer technologies at RTSoft Inc. “Our military and aerospace customers will enjoy the benefits of excellent portability of LynxOS code and easy migration from any UNIX platform to hard real-time LynxOS.”
