Albert McCabe has joined TimeSys as VP of worldwide sales. McCabe is tasked with growing the distribution channel for TimeSys's embedded Linux development tools. Most recently, McCabe served as executive VP of sales and marketing with Accelent Systems, a provider of embedded platforms and services focused primarily on Windows CE.

Prior his position at Accelent Systms, McCabe was VP of worldwide sales for LynuxWorks, a vendor of embedded OSes including BlueCat embedded Linux and the LynxOS proprietary RTOS. Additionally, McCabe has managed sales and channel programs for Texas Instruments and IBM.

At TimeSys, McCabe will focus on expanding the reach of TimeSys's distribution channels and sales growth in Europe and Asia.

“Al will advance the strategy we've taken to deliver our embedded Linux development tools through resellers, hardware vendor partners, and system integrators,” said TimeSys CEO Larry Weidman.
