Trolltech releases Qtopia developer roadmap

A tentative roadmap for the releases of future versions of Qtopia, designed to inform customers, users, and most importantly, developers of the changes expected to occur in the coming versions of Qtopia, has been released.

Qtopia 1.6 will be released autumn 2002. Among the features being considered are: Outlook synchronization of PIM data, additional display formats (640×480, 176×220), TCP/IP-based sync, and Asian input method API.

Qtopia 2.0 is the next major Qtopia release. Anticipated changes include new applications, such as a 'Today' overview, Backup/Restore, and a global 'Find' tool; a new user interface look and feel, with theme and skin support; SOAP and SQL database support, and vCard API support.
