FSMLabs forges embedded Linux alliance in China

Real-time Linux specialist FSMLabs has signed a partnership agreement with Red Flag Software, the premier Linux development and support company in China. FSMLabs says Red Flag will sell and support RTLinuxPro and other of its hard real-time software products, and the two companies will collaborate on embedded Linux support and development.

“Red Flag is a dynamic, technically first rate company, and gives us a strong partner in the active and sophisticated Chinese market,” said FSMLabs CEO Victor Yodaiken.

Red Flag CEO Liu Bo said, “FSMLabs hard real-time is a critical technology for telecom, industrial automation, and other key industries.”

The companies plan to co-develop a wide range of technologies from board support packages for standard embedded systems to development tools and variants of Linux aimed at vertical markets like telecommunications.

Red Flag Software Co. Ltd. (Red Flag Software) was co-founded by Software Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and NewMargin Venture Capital in June 2000, and received investment from CCID Capital Inc. under the Ministry of Information Industry in March 2001. It focuses on the development and promotion of Linux-based operating systems and applications.
