Zaurus SL-C860 Review

Feb 16, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 17 views

PDA Buyer's Guide has published a hands-on review of the embedded Linux based Zaurus SL-C860. The review finds little to complain about, other than the lack of official U.S. distribution, which leads to a slight documentation gap for less experienced PDA users.

The review praises the keyboard and display in particular, along with the Zaurus SL-860's open Linux software environment.

The Zaurus SL-860 is essentially the same hardware platform as the much reviewed SL-760, but includes English-to-Japanese and Japanese-to-English translation software, and the ability to mount the Zaurus as a Samba/Windows share.
