Low-cost MIPS SBC includes embedded Linux

Beta Comptronics Inc. of Nagpur, India is shipping a compact, low-cost SBC (single-board computer) based on a 150MHz MIPS processor. The $180 SBC sports Ethernet, USB, and serial ports, and comes bundled with an embedded Linux software development kit based on the 2.4 Linux kernel. (more…)

License compliance management firm gains SourceForge hooks

Black Duck has extended its partnership with SourceForge, in a deal aimed at increasing the efficiency with which Black Duck tracks open source software. Black Duck will gain a local copy of Sourceforge's software repository, enabling it to track open source software changes more closely, the companies say. (more…)
