Intel targets new “XScale” CPU core at mobile and Internet apps

Intel shows off 2GHz Pentium 4 and Itanium/Linux cluster

ZDNet's John Spooner reports that Intel executives kicked off the Intel Developer Forum, earlier this week, with a 2GHz Pentium 4 demo — and a charge to developers to work together to create standard building blocks for the Net. New Linux support for MIL-STD-1750A embedded systems

Last week's 150,000 square foot LinuxWorld conference (San Jose, CA) clearly demonstrated how far embedded Linux has come in just a dozen months.
