An announcement of a TCP/IP driver for USB communication between Windows hosts and Linux client devices . . .

Bahia 21 & Bahia Europe have releases the Bahia Network Driver (BND). BND is a driver that provides TCP/IP data transfers over a USB connection between a Windows host and a Linux handheld based on Intel's StrongARM SA1110 processor, using the Linux usb-eth driver.

This is a great tool to allow communication between PC running Windows and handhelds running Linux. On the host side, BND works with Windows 98, SE, Millenium, 2000, and XP. On the client side, it's been reported to work with iPAQ, Zaurus, Yopy, and Assabet but should work with any other design using usb-eth.

You can download the driver here. This driver is free for personal use, but must not be redistributed. For any commercial usage or customization please contact us by email.

The current version is 0.9; it will cease to work by June 1, 2002. By that time a new version will be available which will include bug fixes.
