Richard Hart of CNET News.com interviews Keith Nicewarner, software architect for NASA's personal satellite assistant (PSA) project in this online 2.5 minute video. As Hart puts it, the PSA “combines the science fiction of a Star Trek episode with the latest in off-the-shelf computer processing.”
As you may have guessed, the PSA makes use of an Embedded Linux operating system as its internal software platform.
A diagram of the PSA can be viewed online, here.
