The Jikes project, fastest Java complier for Linux, releases v1.16

Jikes version 1.16 has been released. It represents 9 months of development, 4 megs of patches (when consolidated into one unified diff), covering well over 100,000 lines of changes. Jikes is still the fastest Java compiler anywhere and this release, according to the developer, is dedicated to geeks and the people who love them.
