High performance platform virtualization software achieves major release

An open source project to create high-performance virtual machine software has achieved its second major release. Xen 2.0 is said to enable multiple instances of ported OS kernels to run at “close to native” speeds on a single x86 computer, with no modifications to applications or libraries needed. Forum to focus on software testing methods

Case study: inexpensive Linux VoIP system saves $2,600 per month

Chinese company readies portable Linux AV player

The OpenAIS project aims to meet the Service Availability (SA) Forum's high availability specification for Carrier Grade Linux, enabling systems to achieve 99.9999 percent uptime despite network and other failures. 1,000 IPTV STBs running Linux to be deployed in Belgian homes
