PC X-server runs from USB key

StarNet is shipping a USB-based PC X server that lets Windows PC users run graphical applications that reside on remote Linux systems, and carry their sessions with them. The X-Win32 Flash launches an X Window server application when plugged into a host PC running Microsoft Windows, according to the company. (more…)

MotoRizr Z6 to feature single-core architecture?

AOL preps Linux-based PMP

AOL is showcasing a Linux-based hard drive-equipped portable media player (PMP) manufactured by Haier, at CES this week. WUSB chipset supports Linux-based devices

Alereon is shipping a wireless USB (WUSB) chip targeting mobile devices and PC peripherals. The AL4300 is available with Linux drivers, and is said to be the first WUSB chip to integrate the host interface, MAC (media access controller), and baseband processor into a single chip. (more…)
