MontaVista joins CE Linux Forum, signs with Samsung

MontaVista Software Inc. today announced that it has been welcomed as a member of the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum (CELF). Additionally, MontaVista and Korean consumer electronics giant Samsung announced a contract by which MontaVista will supply embedded Linux for use in “many next generation Samsung devices,” according to Samsung spokespeople. CNET News.com site Staff Writer Stephen Shankland today writes that prominent embedded software vendors TimeSys and MontaVista are joining the Consumer Electronics Linux Forum.
