Softfield readies Linux-based MX7 PDA for release
Aug 10, 2003 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 viewsA post on the Zaurus mailing list has pointed out that Softfield Technology Inc., the company that took over production of Agenda Computing's VR3 Linux-based PDA, has announced that they will soon begin production of a new Linux-based PDA, the MX7.
According to the posting, the MX7 will be the same form-factor as the VR3, but will offer updated hardware and will use Trolltech's Qtopia as the user interface.
Key specs are said to include . . .
- ARM 920T 200MHz CPU
- 3.5-inch TFT LCD; 65,536 colors
- 32MB NAND Flash ROM
- 64MB SDRAM
- USB 1.1 and RS232
- Li-ion 4.2V battery; 5V DC adapter
