Modern CMOS image sensors provide high resolution digital output of 10 to 12 bits. When CCD sensors are used, the same (or higher) resolution is provided by separate ADC or integrated CCD signal processors. (more…)

AOL in negotiations to buy Red Hat? AOL says “NO!”

[Updated Jan. 22, 2002, 12:10pm PST] On Friday, January 18, Alec Klein of the Washington Post broke the news that AOL Time Warner might be in talks to buy Red Hat.
