WiFi stack specialist Devicescape Software has promoted its top marketing employee to senior management, and has added a VP of worldwide sales. Glenn Flinchbaugh has led marketing efforts since joining the startup last year. Joseph G. Masarich joins Devicescape 20 with years of executive sales experience.

Glenn Flinchbaugh, VP of marketing

Before joining Devicescape in Flinchbaugh previously served as director of embedded Linux at Wind River. Along with Devicescape's current CEO, Dave Fraser, former VP of Products at Wind River, Flinchbaugh was one of several executives who left Wind River shortly after Ken Klein became CEO. Former Wind River marketing VP Michel Genard, who went on to lead Jaluna's marketing efforts briefly, before landing at TimeSys, said at the time, “It's expected when a new CEO comes on board. It's time for some people to leave, and others to move up.”

According to Devicescape, Flinchbaugh's promotion confirms his contributions as senior director of marketing, which included “establishing the department and all elements of the marketing function.”

Joseph G. Masarich, VP of worldwide sales

Devicescape's newly appointed VP of worldwide sales, Joseph G. Masarich, served nine years at Cadence Design Systems, subsequently amassing 20 years of executive-level sales and marketing management experience at companies that include Technology Modeling, Blaze Software, Summit Design, and New Vision Systems.

Fraser said, “Glenn and Joe are first-rate leaders with proven track records of turning ideas into profitable business opportunities. I'm thrilled to expand the executive team with such seasoned professionals, as it underscores Devicescape's success and opportunity for continued growth.”
