VWB recently partnered with SageTV on an embedded Linux software stack for its MediaReady 5000, which combines PVR, DVD/CD record/playback, Internet access, and other media center functions. VWB's earlier MediaReady 3000 and 4000 designs were powered by a Linux software stack from CAC Media.
VWB will begin shipping the MediaREADY 6000 in Q2 of 2006 at a suggested list price of around $1250, it says.
